Our Worship
At Wellspring we are fundamentally a worshiping community. Our worship is a conversation, a dialogue, between God and us. We hear from Him as He calls us to worship, as we hear His Word read, explained, and applied, as we hear of His forgiveness, and as we are sent out with His blessing. We respond by singing, confessing our sins, listening to His Word, giving, receiving the sacraments, and by celebrating God’s blessing over us.
Our Beliefs
We believe the Gospel or the good news that sin and death have lost their grip on God's new humanity through the life, death and resurrection of The Lord Jesus Christ. The Apostles' Creed (below) is a succinct, clear and timeless statement of that good news.
The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell. The third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
Our Confession of Faith
Wellspring is a congregation of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. The Westminster Standards are our confession of faith.
